Of all the 4 Vallées resorts, Nendaz is the second largest, recording 590,674 skier-days in the 2008–09 season. That is a respectable 5 per cent higher than the previous year but some of the increase must be due to the fact that Nendaz enjoyed a particularly long season, opening officially on 29 November 08 and not closing until 25 April 09. Verbier, the domain’s capital resort, recorded twice the number of skier-days. It remained quite busy until the end of the season while the Printze area was very quiet.
